SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for scratch-resistant coatings and solid surface coatings for obtaining articles with a polymeric surface made from the coating composition. The coating composition contains a) at least one product of converting a1) a silane of general formula 
, where Y(1)=3-glycidyloxypropyl, and R1, R2, R3 = identical or different alkyl groups, having 1-6 carbon atoms, and a2) silane of general formula 
, where Y(2)-N-2-aminoethyl-3-aminopropyl or NH2(CH2)2NH(CH2)2NH(CH)3-, and R'1,R'2R'3 = identical or different alkyl groups, having 1-6 carbon atoms, and b) at least one inorganic filler, and c) a solvent selected from solvents with boiling point lower than or equal to 85°C or 1-propanol, and d) water, and e) a catalyst selected from inorganic or organic acids.
EFFECT: obtaining coatings without cracks or defects.
