FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: umbrella antenna for spacecraft includes arms with a parabolic profile, lying radially with respect to the centre hub and pivotally connected to said centre hub, a radio-reflecting mirror surface, formed by a working net made from metallic material, which is in form of wedges which are elastically stretched on their radial edges between the arms; profile cords connected to the wedges and stretched between ends of the arms. Before assembling the antenna, an additional radiotransparent net to whose free edge a profile cord is attached, is attached to the peripheral zone of each wedge of the working radio-reflecting net.
EFFECT: high utilisation factor of the aperture surface of the reflector and reduced gain degradation of the antenna, reduced level of lateral lobes.
