FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: method involves printing an imprint, which contains a bar code which bears identification information, onto printable polymer material subjected to heat shrinkage. A distorted bar code with bars and spaces whose width is enlarged in proportion to shrinkage of the film at the printed area is printed, as well as a normal bar code. The printable polymer material used is an anisotropic film made from thermoplastic with heat shrinkage gradient which is locally non-uniform and increases in any shrinkage direction at least on the printed part with the distorted bar code, wherein the heat shrinkage gradient of the film does not coincide with the direction of the bar codes.
EFFECT: simple detection of forgery of a printing product.
