FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in ultrabandwidth antennas operating in ranges of ultrahigh (UHF), superhigh (SHF) and extremely high (EHF) frequencies, in particular, in spiral and log-periodic vibrator antennas, where the coefficient coverage of working range of frequencies reaches up to 50. The matching balancing transformer is a microstrip version of a wedge-like transformer, which is placed into a metal screen and is complemented with two sections of a subminiature coaxial cable. Sections of the subminiature coaxial cables are galvanically connected by screens to each other and to a transformer screen and are connected with their central conductors between symmetrical outputs of the transformer and points of antenna feed arranged opposite to them. In the matching balancing transformer there is an additional screen and sections of a subminiature coaxial cable.
EFFECT: expansion of working range of frequencies of ultrabandwidth antennas into area of higher frequencies.
