FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: space-saving card reading device for various electronic devices, particularly for cordless telephones, includes a plurality of neighbouring, spaced-apart electric pin connectors which extend outwards from part of the printed-circuit board in the electronic device. The cover can cover part of the printed-circuit board and includes a plurality of neighbouring, spaced-apart holes. Each hole can receive the corresponding pin connector when the cover is in the attached position, thereby covering part of the printed-circuit board. The housing is attached to the outer surface of the cover and can receive a card such that electric contacts on the card are in contact with the pin connectors extending through the holes in the cover.
EFFECT: invention enables use of smaller space for a card reading device in an electronic device.
