FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: JPEG electronic image is divided into pixel blocks; wavelet transformation of the JPEG electronic image blocks (EIB) is performed; wavelet transformation coefficients are quantised and converted to ordered binary sequences (OBS); the binary sequence of a digital watermark (DW) of the JPEG EIB is calculated using a secret key; the JPEG EIB is authenticated, for which the binary sequence of the JPEG EIB DW is divided into a first and a second sequence and embedded into DW, which are coded using arithmetic coding; authentication actions at the JPEG EIB sender are repeated until the end of the incoming JPEG EIB; the authenticated JPEG electronic image is sent to the recipient and then authenticated using a secret key.
EFFECT: high resistance of authenticated JPEG electronic image to transmission channel errors.
