FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: electronic image authentication by sender comprises wavelet conversion. Wavelet factors are quantised and divided by N≥2 code blocks each sized to n1×n2 factors, where n1≥2 and n2≥2. Quantised wavelet factors of nth, where n = 1, 2, …, N, code block are converted into L≥2 ordered binary sequences. Arithmetic coding interval length is changed by secret key and coded by arithmetic coding to coded sequences. Coded electronic message is transmitted to recipient message authentication verification. For this, binary sequence of received electronic image is divided into binary sequences of its received blocks. Arithmetic coding interval length is changed by secret key and decoded by arithmetic decoding. Received electronic image is considered authentic if L×n1×n2 bits are decoded in every received code block.
EFFECT: efficient protection of authentic authenticated electronic image.
