SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of furniture, namely, the manufacture of folding devices for sitting. Folding chair consists of two frames forming the frame of the chair, each of which includes two curved lateral elements connected with each other with the upper cross members which are connected with the means that forms in the working position of the chair its seat and back, and made flexible in the middle part. Each frame is equipped with an additional cross bar connecting the lateral elements of the frame in its middle part, and made with an ability of bearing impact on the side elements of the other frame. Additional cross members are connected to the means forming the seat and back, so that the flexible part of this means is located between the said additional cross members and connects them with each other.

EFFECT: provision of a more convenient location of the user on the folding chair.
