METHOD FOR FORMING VERTICAL POSITION STABILITY IN PATIENTS WITH STATODYNAMIC DISORDERS Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B5/103 A61B5/11

Abstract RU 2448645 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to restorative medicine. A patient is trained in a vertical position by moving a body on a soft hardware complex for clinical motion analysis MBN Biomechanics with integrated force plate and computer. The patients stands on the force plate and holds a vertical position by making motion exercises with open and closed eyes for 60 seconds each: body weight transfer from heels to toes, from one leg to another and back, body weight transfer circularly on one side, and then on the other side, then to one leg, to toes, another leg, heels with controlling exercise correctness by the relevant curves presented on the monitor and reflecting the motion of center of pressure (CP) by the force plate in the relevant planes with trying to produce a relevant curve on the force plate (close to sinusoid for sagittal and frontal surfaces and symmetrical with respect to a zero line on a coordinate grid of CP oscillation scanning; or close to a circle - for horizontal). In making the exercises with closed eyes, the patient tries to achieve the same body sensations as those when making the exercises with open eyes. After each exercise the patient compares on the monitor a position and a path of the CP in making the exercise with open and closed eyes, corrects making the exercises. The therapeutic course is 10 procedures.

EFFECT: method provides effective training of vertical position stability in patients with statodynamic disorders, including severe ones, with creating an optimal postural stereotype and enabled assessment of clinical effectiveness.
