FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to device to feed stock into roll mill stand, control device, data carrier and strip roll mill. Roll mill comprises stand with working rolls and control device. Note here that stock front section is fed to roll mill stand at the rate (Ve, Ve'). Note also that working rolls create deformation center (G, G'). Note also that control device controls said stand so that, before feeding front section into deformation center (G, G'), working rolls runs with peripheral speed (Vu, Vu2, Vu2') equal to speed of said front section (Ve, Ve'). Prior to feeding front section into deformation center (G, G'), said center (G, G') is set in vertical direction to rolled material thickness (Dw) on feed side. In or after feeding front section in deformation center (G, G'), the latter is set to preset magnitude. At the same time, peripheral speed (Vu, Vu2, Vu2') os working rolls varies depending upon the state of deformation center (G, G'), in particular, it increases.
EFFECT: longer life, higher efficiency.
