SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to setting of driving load for rolling mill drives (20, 21, 22, 23), to control device and mill with rolling plant (1). Rolling mill comprises several stands (4, 5, 6, 7) with at least one working roll drive (20, 21, 22, 23). Driving loads are set in compliance with the first rolling table to first preset magnitude. In rolling, rolling loads at rolling mill are set to second preset magnitude defined by second rolling table that differs from said first rolling table. At setting second preset magnitudes, velocity Ve at inlet of rolled stock G of rolling mill (2) is set subject to velocity Vg at rolled stock outlet of plant 3 mounted ahead of rolling mill 2.

EFFECT: high efficiency of rolling of different-properties strips.
