FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: method of replacing reusable rails by continuous welded track rails with simultaneous assignment in design interval of fastening temperatures comprises uncoupling reusable rails over their entire length, lifting them and displacing inside track, lifting continuous welded rails inside the track and displacing them onto rail bottom straps. Said operations per carried out using track laying crane. Reusable rails are lifted above joints and shifted inside track by means of electromagnetic grippers with limiting rollers. Every rail is gripped by head, and lifted above joints of reusable rails by grippers with anti-kant rollers. Thereafter, rails are bent in plan to track width to fit them onto rail bottom straps by said two limiting rollers. Every rail is lifted in vertical plane to design height proceeding from the difference between removed rail temperature and design temperature of jointing. Grane is moved aloug the rail till it is end. The rail is fixed behind the crane.
