FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: patients suffering acute bacterial conjunctivitis are examined for conjunctival and nasal mucosal bacterial flora. If simultaneously observing the strains S. aureus, their antilysozyme activity is assessed. If its value in each strain exceeds 4.0 mcg/ml, a potential transition from acute to subacute or chronic clinical course is predicted.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides higher accuracy of diagnosing the disease.
