SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of controlling aircraft when returning to a ship, involving measurement of aircraft motion parameters, measurement and transmission of motion parameters of the ship to the aircraft, generation of specified heading and linear range to the point of touch a circle which is offset from the runway strip of the ship, generation of programmed altitude, generation of mismatch between the true and specified heading, which is used to generate the specified roll control signal, generation of mismatch between the current and programmed altitude, which is used when generating the specified normal acceleration and changing, automatically or manually, angular position of the aircraft in accordance with the generated control signals, based on the current coordinates, altitude of the aircraft, current coordinates, velocity and heading of the ship, the full length of the landing path, the average speed of the aircraft during landing and the landing time are determined, in accordance with which coordinates of the ship during landing are determined, an iterative method is used to improve the value of the length of the landing path, average speed of the aircraft, time and coordinates of the ship during landing, and the improved values of the coordinates of the ship during landing are then used when forming the path for returning to the ship.

EFFECT: high accuracy of controlling aircraft when entering the runway strip line of a moving ship.
