FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves the following: measuring or generating heading, roll, speed, coordinates, angle of drift, course angle, minimum possible turning radius, the direction of the course line, lateral deviation from the course line and the desired course, automatic or manual processing of mismatch between the current and desired courses, wherein for considerable deviation of the aircraft from the course line, a desired course is generated which corresponds to the perpendicular direction of the course angle to the course line; after achieving lateral deviation from the course line equal to the sum of the minimum possible turning radius and the allowable error for deviation from the course line, the desired course is generated, which corresponds to the direction of the course angle at a tangent to the circle with the minimum possible turning radius; after achieving lateral deviation from the course line the value of which is proportional to the allowable error for deviation from the course line, the desired course is generated, which corresponds to the direction of course angle of the aircraft to a shifted point, the shift of which in the positive direction of the course line is directly proportional to the speed of the aircraft and inversely proportional to lateral deviation of the aircraft from the course line.
EFFECT: simple procedure for manual control of aircraft when flying on a route.
