FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device for air cooling of a system of passive heat release from a nuclear power plant containment comprises a toroid-shape air header concentrically installed on an outer wall of a containment with air ducts installed radially on a containment dome and covered with a roof. And heat exchangers, one of which is installed inside a containment and the other one outside on the dome between air ducts and the roof, joined to each other by means of supply and drainage pipelines. At the same time under the inlet air section of the outer heat exchanger on the upper surface of the toroid-shape air header there is an opening for air intake. On the roof above the outlet air section of the external heat exchanger there is an exhaust pipe.

EFFECT: higher safety of nuclear power plants operation.
