FIELD: nuclear energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a passive heat removal system (PHRS) from the internal volume of the containment shell (CS) of a water-cooled power reactor and is intended for cooling the reactor CS by natural circulation of cooling water in the system circuit. The system includes at least one cooling water circulation circuit containing a heat exchanger located inside the CS volume and including upper and lower collectors. The collectors are connected by heat exchange tubes forming a vertical bundle. The cooling water reserve tank is located above the heat exchanger outside the CS volume and is connected to the lowering pipeline; the steam discharge device is connected to the rise pipeline, hydraulically connected to the latter and placed in the water reserve tank. Moreover, the heat exchange section has a double-row vertical bundle made of curved tubes that have throttling devices, and is placed in a non-hermetic casing connected through an air duct with an air circulator to the refrigeration machine. The part of the casing in which the section is located is removable.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of the system, reduced dimensions in height and weight of the heat exchanger and ensuring the use of the system during normal operation in air conditioning mode.
