SUBSTANCE: invention refers to experimental medicine, traumatology and orthopaedics, namely for the purpose of diagnosis of the muscle-tendon state accompanying extremity segment elongation. The method involves a calculation assisted by the distance of radiopaque markers in the various periods of muscle-tendon strain. For this purpose intraoperative application of an Ilizarov apparatus is preceded by introducing a titanium nickelide wire of the cross section diameter of 0.2 mm from skin incisions 5-6 mm with using a surgical needle through surface layers of Achilles tendon tissues within an attachment point to a calcaneal tuberosity, within a transition point to a muscle portion and within a belly of gastrocnemius muscle at the level of a head of fibula. The wire is double knotted so that to prevent the created marker from matching with a skin suture. The wire ends are cut off.

EFFECT: method provides reducing damaging action of the applied radiopaque markers for evaluating the muscle-tendon strain accompanying shin elongation.
