FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to production of forged vanes in power engineering and aircraft engineering. Tube with radius approximating to vane basic section and thickness equal to maximum thickness of vane butt is used as a billet. Tube is machined to vane root profile, cut to vane size and forged.
EFFECT: reduced labor input, time savings.
