SUBSTANCE: invention relates to grinding and may be used for grinding spherical surfaces. Proposed device comprises grinding head with grinding wheel arranged on frame fitted on carriage and swinging in horizontal plane. Frame swing axis is aligned with grinding wheel rotational center. In compliance with another version, grinding head may swing in vertical plane with grinding wheel rotational center aligned with grinding head vertical swing axis. In compliance with one more version, device may be articulated with turret lathe and provided with periodically turning turret head with billets fitted in its slots. Carriage with grinding wheel swinging in horizontal or vertical plane is fitted on support or machine bed guides. Its spindle crosses grinding head swing axis and grinding wheel rotational center. It incorporates wheel dressing mechanism fitted in one of turret head positions.
