FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automatic uncouplers of cars, for example, train freight stock on hump yard in train breakdown. Proposed system comprises carriage arranged to displace along cars to be uncoupled. Carriage carries manipulator and optoelectronic system, its signal being used to determine speed and coordinates of uncoupling assembly. Number of carriages H for one humping track is defined from relationship H≥TR\Ta, where TR is uncoupling cycle duration from uncoupling start Nk to carriage return to initial position of the following uncoupling, Ta is time from Nk to arrival of the next group of cars to be uncoupled Nk+1 to initial position of uncoupling start Nk+1.
EFFECT: higher reliability and efficiency of hump yard.
