SUBSTANCE: what is described is a sorghum hybrid wherein a germ plasma of the sorghum hybrid gives a resistance to inhibition by one or more acetolactate synthase herbicides wherein said germ plasma of the sorghum hybrid contains a sequence presented in the description which additionally contains one or more nucleotide substitutions specified in a group consisting of guanine substitution for adenine in positions 1641, and guanine substitution for thymidine in position 1641. What is disclosed is a method for growing said sorghum hybrid in the presence of weed plants. What is described is a method for producing the hybrid sorghum line resistant to one or more acetolactate synthase herbicides involving introducing the germ plasma in the elite sorghum line by introducing a heterogenous gene. What is disclosed is a method for detecting the sorghum line plants resistant to acetolactate synthase herbicides. What is presented is a seed used for growing the plant resistant to acetolactate synthase herbicides.
EFFECT: invention provides producing the sorghum hybrid resistant to inhibition by one or more acetolactate synthase herbicides taken in the concentrations normally inhibiting the sorghum hybrid growth.
