FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing lactide particles used to produce polylactic acid. The method involves moulding lactide to form particles having surface/volume ratio less than 3000 m-1. Said moulding is extrusion, formation of pastils, granulation, tabletting or flaking.
EFFECT: obtaining stable lactide particles for storage and transportation at room temperature, which can be used as starting material for production of polylactic acid for primary fields of use.
