SUBSTANCE: presented group of inventions refers to medicine. What is presented is a delivery system for extended release of a calcium channel blocker containing a solid disperse product of the calcium channel blocker in a mixture with poly(lactide-co-glycolides), wherein a mass ratio of first poly(lactide-co-glycolide) and second poly(lactide-co-glycolide) makes from 10:1 to 1:1.5. What is presented is a method of treating or preventing a cerebral vasospasm by depositing this delivery system into an individual's spinal fluid.
EFFECT: presented group of inventions provides the effective agents and methods for controlled release of the calcium channel blocker, particularly nicardipine.
