FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: complex for long-term storage of liquefied natural gas (LNG) comprises cryogenic reservoirs with LNG and an atmospheric evaporator, an assembly of stop-safety and I&C equipment, and also a high-pressure cryogenic pump, providing for LNG supply from reservoirs into an evaporator. The complex is installed inside a structure of foundation pit type from reinforced concrete with sand filling on top, divided into two rooms with a heat-insulated wall, in one of which, filled with inert gas medium (for instance, nitrogen), there are LNG reservoirs and a high-pressure cryogenic pump, and in the other one, equipped with a ling of excessive pressure discharge with a check valve, there is a heat-exchanger - cooler and an atmospheric evaporator. A line of atmospheric air supply with a compressor passes via the evaporator, and a line of recirculation with a compressor passes via a heat-exchanger-cooler to provide for takeoff and return of gas medium after its cooling into a room with LNG reservoirs and a cryogenic pump. The line of natural gas with stop and control valves serially stretches from LNG reservoirs via a heat-exchanger-cooler and an evaporator to consumers.
EFFECT: increased life of drain-free storage of liquefied natural gas, higher safety and reliability of operation of storages with cryogenic propellant.
