FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: decoding received binary sequence is divided into codewords. Binary elements in each codeword are permuted to form a Walsh-Hadamard matrix word. To determine the order of permuting elements in the codeword, multiple codewords are compiled into a matrix which then is brought to Walsh-Hadamard matrix by permuting columns and rows. The Walsh-Hadamard matrix codeword is multiplied by reference transposed Walsh-Hadamard matrix. Meanwhile, signal processing equivalent to fast Walsh-Hadamard transform is carried out. Multiplication results into the range, from which a maximum value is separated. The transmitted word corresponds to the maximum value.
EFFECT: number of operations for decoding Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem code as compared to decoding according to the maximum discrete likelihood function is reduced.
