FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for forming continuous fibres from streams of molten inorganic material has a feeder configured to store molten inorganic material and having a nozzle plate having holes which enable streams of molten inorganic material to flow; cooling fins lying under the nozzle plate with spacing from it, which are configured to remove heat from the molten streams; cooling support fins lying under the nozzle plate which are configured to support, at least partially, the nozzle plate and remove heat from the molten streams. The cooling support fins have a main housing and a support bar lying over the main housing so as to partially support the nozzle plate. The main housing is made from one piece of metal and has an open top channel configured to hold the support bar, and a closed bottom channel configured to receive the cooling liquid.
EFFECT: longer service life and efficiency of the draw hole.
