FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method includes spiral winding of a tape with overlapping edges of its adjacent turns onto a detachable replaceable holder of a selected dimension type, fixation of adjacent tape turns to form a pipeline and its removal from the holder. The tape is fed tangentially to the middle of the upper generatrix surface of a drive shaft installed in the horizontal plane. When changing to another dimension type of a pipeline, the previous holder is removed, an axial brace of a new holder is inserted into a support slot, the holder is raised until joined with a drive shaft, and the axial brace of the holder is fixed in the support slot. Then the welding unit is turned around the vertical axis and fixed in a position, in which the axis of the clamping roller is parallel to the drive shaft axis, and between the roller and the shaft there is no gap. In the device a detachable holder is fixed to the support at the axial brace. Several shafts are installed between holder bases. Their ends are installed into holes of both bases and are displaced relative to each other by a radial angle. The upper (drive) shaft is installed horizontally. There is a welding unit installed on a support, which combined into a whole the facility of tape feeding, the facility of welding unit installation, the welding device and the clamping facility. The welding unit is installed with the possibility of its displacement along height, turn in the horizontal plane relative to the vertical axis stretching via the middle of the clamping roller, the middle of the drive shaft axis and the holder axis, and fixation in a position, in which the tape feeding facility provides in process of winding its tangential feed to the surface of the drive shaft so that the middle of the coverage of adjacent tape turns gets to the middle of the drive shaft.

EFFECT: simplified and accelerated reset when changing from manufacturing one diameter of a pipeline to another one.
