SUBSTANCE: when short circuit current surge appears in line of the main power supply (PS), count of total time equal to protection actuation holding time of sectionalising circuit breaker of the main PS line and holding time of activation of circuit breaker of automatic load transfer network station is started. When the count ends, sounding impulse is supplied to the beginning of reserve PS line, and the time during which it will reach reflection point and return is measured. Distance to reflection point is calculated and compared to distance to installation place of circuit breaker of network station of automatic load transfer, and if that distance is shorter than the calculated one, the conclusion is made on activation of circuit breaker of automatic loaf transfer network station, and monitoring of operating current variation is performed, and if reduction of operating current is fixed before recovery of normal scheme of electric power supply in line of reserve PS by the value determined with reserved load, then sounding impulse is again supplied to the beginning of that line, and time within which it will reach reflection point and return is measured. Distance to reflection point is calculated and compared to distance to installation place of circuit breaker of automatic load transfer network station, and if that distance is equal to the calculated one, then the conclusion is made on false deactivation of circuit breaker of automatic load transfer network station.
