FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in registration of operational current rushes determined by loads of tripped and connected sections of lines and in measurement of the time between such rushes, one carrying out constant control of the condition of the circuit breaker of the automatic load transfer network station; for this purpose a probing pulse is sent with a specific periodicity to the backup power supply line beginning, one measuring the time of such pulse passage from the reflection point and backwards, calculating the distance from the reflection point and comparing it to the distance from the spot of installation of the circuit breaker of the automatic load transfer network station, the distances equal to each other in case of the normal power supply scheme; if the calculated distance exceeds the distance from the spot of installation of the circuit breaker of the automatic load transfer network station, a false actuation is concluded.
