SUBSTANCE: from the moment of SC current surge on the buses of the main power source transformer, time is counted which is equal to the time of switching-off delay of the main circuit breaker of line powered from this source, in this process, SC current interruption moment is checked and if this moment coincides with the moment of tripping delay time expiration for the main circuit breaker of this line then it is decided that the main circuit breaker has been switched off, and from this moment the count of time equal to time of switching-on delay of automatic load transfer switch begins, herewith, on the buses of backup power source transformer at the moment of this delay expiration, SC current surge is checked and if it occurs and disappears after time period of actuating protection with acceleration of the switch for automatic backup switching on it is decided that this SC-switch has switched on and the sectionalising circuit breaker has failed.
