FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: on the busbars of the primary power supply transformer one registers occurrence of current rush caused by short circuit fault in the line supplied power to from such transformer. From the moment of occurrence of short circuit current rush at the beginning of the primary power supply line one commences keeping of the total time equal to the time of delay in triggering of the main circuit breaker protection and the time of delay in tripping of the sectionalising circuit breaker of the primary power supply line as well as the time of delay in actuation of the circuit breaker of the automatic load transfer network station. From the moment of termination of total time keeping at the beginning of the backup power supply one controls occurrence of operational current rush with a value determined by the connected backup load on the primary power supply line one; in case of no current rush having occurred, one registers the fact of actuation failure of the circuit breaker of the automatic load transfer network station in the ring network. The proposed method enables obtainment of information on actuation failure of the circuit breaker of the automatic load transfer network station by way of registration of current rushes not at the transformer busbars but at the beginning of each line of the ring network.

EFFECT: improved reliability certainty of the method.
