SUBSTANCE: invention refers to dentistry, particularly to creation of new oral hygiene preparations for the purpose of preventing and treating periodontium diseases. The presented dental composition of bis(1-vinylimidazole)zinc diacetate (acyzole) is presented in the form of a tooth paste containing acyzole, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, glycerine, sorbitol (70% solution), methylparabene sodium salt, titanium dioxide, sodium saccharinate, sodium lauryl sulphate (33% solution), anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial herbal agents, aromatisers, silicon dioxide (if needed) and water in certain proportions.

EFFECT: using the tooth paste with acyzole in a complex therapy of inflammatory periodontium diseases provides substantial oral hygiene improvement, decreased inflammatory diseases and enhanced periodontium state.
