FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to testing friction articles. Friction article comprises friction element secured on metal carcass. Friction article is tested for susceptibility for separation of friction element from metal carcass in operation in winder. Friction article is first machined to thickness of friction element equal to 2-7 mm to proceed with the main operations of proposed method. Article is placed in 2-10%- solution of NaCl in water to be kept therein for 1-8 cycles each comprising soaking said article for 10-20 min and keeping it in air for 40-50 min. Then, article is subjected to friction contact corresponding to 15 decelerations from 100 km/h to 5 km/h at deceleration of 0.4 g and inspected to define presence or absence of separation of polymer friction material from carcass. In case there is no delamination, tests are repeated unless delamination occurs, or 10-15 times.
EFFECT: efficient test, accurate determination.
