FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to crushing of materials by roll crusher. Proposed method comprises roll crusher with two spaced apart rolls revolving in opposite directions. Every roll has, at least, first and second different-diameter regions. Crusher has, at least, one section with smaller spacing between rolls and one section with larger spacing there between. Portion of ground material is, first, fed to section with larger spacing between rolls, and, then, to that with smaller spacing between rolls. Separate particles are crushed at section with larger spacing between rolls while interparticle crushing is performed at section with smaller spacing between rolls.

EFFECT: reduced number of crushers for preliminary crushing.
