FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to centrifugal separator. Centrifugal separator comprises rotary drum, separation chamber in said drum, base arranged on drum rear lengthwise end, and discharge chamber. Said base comprises first discharge opening confined radially by drain baffle at first level. Discharge chamber communicates with separation chamber via first discharge hole and is communicated with discharge chamber outlet open at second level to drum outside space in second lengthwise zone ahead of rear lengthwise zone. Discharge chamber outlet is equipped with outlet nozzle with discharge direction having a component opposite the rotational direction. Overflow inlet is arranged in discharge chamber at third level between first and second levels to communicate with overflow outlet open into drum outside space in second lengthwise zone.
EFFECT: recovery of kinetic power from liquid phase released in zone located ahead of rear zone confined by drum base.
