SUBSTANCE: method includes probing of measured mixture with high-frequency electromagnetic waves in working range of frequencies of volume resonator (R) in radio wave detector (RD), measurement of resonant frequency and coefficient of transfer of volume R at resonant frequency and formation of generalised measured value from values of these parametres also with utilisation of resonant frequency that corresponds to R filling with water in process of calibration. Two modes of operation and two calibrations are provided: "dynamic" mode with continuous flow of measured medium through RD of moisture metre, in case of mixture type with continuous oil phase, and "static" mode with flow interruption through RD by means of its changeover to bypass channel, in case of mixtures with water continuous phase. Device comprises volume high-frequency R of RD type and electronic unit with frequency synthesiser and processor module. Unit of signal pickup from RD is arranged in the form of differentiating electric circuit with addition of inertial circuit. Analog inlets and outlets are introduced for control of flow switches or isolating valves that interrupt mixture in probing unit and change the working flow over to bypass channel.
EFFECT: measurement of moisture content in the range from zero to hundred percents for any type and any structure of measured medium from producing oil well.
