FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for intensive hydroabrasive cutting of tough metals. Proposed method comprises application of reverse polarity constant electric filed to material to be separated and working medium and control over anode current magnitude. At the start of separation, accessible voltage for anodic dissolution is set and anode current is controlled unless its magnitude reaches stable level. Thereafter, voltage is varied by half to reduce anode current to be maintained unless termination of tough metal separation.
EFFECT: intensified process, stabilised quality of surface layer in cutting zone.
