FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to screw presses intended for compaction of solid wastes. Proposed press comprises first feed screw communicated with loading bin side bottom opening and second compaction screw. Said compaction screw is surrounded by corrugated stator body to feed and compact wastes. Feed screw features pitch and diameter exceeding those of compaction screw. Two said screws are arranged in parallel, one above or around the other to make press proper. Press length equals that of longer screw. Press incorporates appliances to allow operation of screws at different rpm. Note here that compaction screw features higher rpm.
EFFECT: smaller length and higher quality.
