FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method is implemented in electric arc furnace, to which a metal mixture is fed, containing 30…35% of liquid pig iron, 5…10% cold pig iron and 60…65% trim rolled sheet steel of automobile-body brands of cold-rolling department, it is melted, during oxidation period an injection of carbonaceous material at a rate of 60-100 kg / min is produced, purging of the bath with oxygen is carried out until the residual carbon content is no more than 0.03%. Upon completion the bath is agitated with argon through the bottom plugs for no less than 5 minutes with intensity no less than 60 l/min. Steel tapping is carried out with leaving slag and a part of metal in a furnace with an additive of a ladle during tapping of solid slag-forming mixture, deoxidising agents and alloying agents.

EFFECT: invention allows to obtain the in the finished mild automobile-body steel the required content of carbon, chromium, nickel, copper and nitrogen in the finished steel for further production of cold-rolled steel sheet for automotive sheet.
