SUBSTANCE: methods and device are described which intellectually set delay activation timer in wireless communication environment, continuously monitor data session to determine if application communicates with corresponding device, retrieve from delay activation timer the reading if delay activation timer active, determine correct new value for delay activation timer to set delay activation timer, and then set delay activation timer using new delay activation timer value.
EFFECT: prevention of re-registration when packet zones are quickly changing, reduction of wireless message exchange which preserves battery life.
