FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to ceramic filter for filtration of fused metal. Ceramic filter has carbon coat applied on heat-resistant materials bonded by ceramic binding agents. Proposed method comprises suspension containing heat-resistant materials, ceramic binding agent, and fluid carrier. Coat from suspension is applied on porous foam produced from thermoplastic materials. Foam and coat are dried. Carbon coat is applied and produced article is dried. Produced article is annealed at 600-1100°C in atmosphere not containing oxygen and/or in reducing atmosphere.
EFFECT: higher strength and fire resistance.
