FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil-and-gas industry and may be used for separation of oil and water. Proposed separator comprises inlet branch pipe, stationary case, fluid flow swirler, mechanical flow separator and continuous unloader. Inlet branch pipe is attached to separator along tangent to flow swirler made up of flat Archimedean coil directing flow from periphery to centre. Flow splitter is made up of fixed web furnished with drive rotary vane connected with control system. Control system input is connected with fluid interface transducer. Note here that said transducer is made up of connecting strip with equal-rating resistors connected in between adjacent teeth while fluid interface position is defined by the following formula where L is the distance to fluid interface on oil side, mm; Rrp is measured resistance of said strip, kOhm; Rp is resistance of one of the resistors, kOhm; 1 is distance between strip teeth, mm.
EFFECT: higher quality of separation, simplified design.
