FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a linear displacement sensor having a housing accommodating a linear stepper motor, a retractable rod with a mark, which is spring-loaded relative the housing and is placed coaxially with a contact tip, a nonmagnetic insert connected to the housing of the sensor by a keyed connection on which is mounted a measuring winding and to whose free end is connected a nut which forms a screw pair with the steel shaft of the linear stepper motor, an inner rod mounted in the housing of the retractable rod by a nut. The sensor employs measuring winding with winding length of 10 mm and wire thickness of not more than 0.1 mm for picking up 30 mm linear displacements and 600 mcm vibrations. A ferromagnetic tip is placed coaxially with the contact tip with possibility of displacement relative the nonmagnetic insert.
EFFECT: simple scheme for picking up a signal from a sensor and controlling a linear stepper motor, high accuracy, reliability, safety and speed of operation using one sensor, in both linear displacement detection mode and vibration detection mode.
