FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and is intended for fitting test equipment for friction and wear in order to determine tribological characteristics of antifriction compact materials. Autonomous friction assembly for testing equipment for friction and wear consists of mounting, loading parts and measuring system. Mounting part is made with possibility of autonomous friction assembly drive shaft connection to test equipment drive, serves for fixation of sample and counter-sample and transfer of rotational movement to zone of contact of analysed friction pair with possibility of fixation of sample temperature under different conditions of lubrication in friction pair. Loading part is made using a compression spring, a threaded tip, a load strain gauge and a tension nut, by means of which it creates the required load in the contact zone of the analysed friction pair. Measuring system is designed to be mounted on the body/frame of the test equipment and consists of a digital micrometer for determining linear wear of the sample and a strain gauge for determining the friction force in the analysed friction pair.
EFFECT: high information content and reliability of test results.
