FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: at different heights, two laser planes are formed, points of intersection of the laser plane are determined using a beam of laser radiation, distances to the intersections are determined, a virtual path between two points of intersection is constructed and then extrapolated to the earth's surface. The apparatus which realises said method, having a light rangefinder, further has a high structure, for example a flight control house on which are mounted at different heights two rotating light rangefinders with built-in laser emitters, each combined with its own video camera, wherein outputs of light rangefinder are connected through an AND matching circuit to their rotation motors and directly to a computer. The video camera of the top light rangefinder is also connected to the computer whose monitor displays the visual space.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities owing to possibility of determining distance and location of an emitter in dynamic conditions.
