FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: saturated steam sterilisation mode indicator has a substrate in form of self-adhesive paper whose back side is coated with an adhesive layer and a protective anti-adhesive coating. The indicator also has an indicator composition attached to the substrate. The substrate used is an orange coloured luminescent self-adhesive paper. The indicator composition contains iodine and oxalate-tetraethyldiamine-triphenylmethane (brilliant green) ingredients and is attached to the substrate by successive saturation of the substrate, until it is mossy coloured, with alcohol solutions of ingredients, having the same concentration: 2-5 g of dry substance per 100 ml of ethyl alcohol.
EFFECT: possibility of simultaneous control of sterilisation temperature, dryness of the saturated steam and given sterilisation time interval, high strength of the working surface of the indicator, high information content of the indicator, high reliability of the result of visual control of the saturated steam sterilisation mode.
