FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: sample in the form of a fragment of a rod with length L₁ is tested with longitudinal bending, for this purpose it is fixed in hinged clamps, exposed to axial loading, and a critical force P_cr is identified, at which it loses stability, then the sample is tested for tension, for this purpose it is fixed in clamps, a working section is separated with the length L₂ and exposed to axial tension, measuring extension of the working section of the sample ΔL₂ and a tension force F corresponding to the extension. The efficient diameter d_e and the elasticity module E is calculated according to the formulas.

EFFECT: possibility to determine an efficient diameter and an elasticity module of longitudinally reinforced rods of periodical shape.
