FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: in one version a transmitter may generate data bursts for a receiver, assign sequence numbers to bursts from a single space of sequence numbers, demultiplex bursts into multiple flows for multiple communication lines, and send each flow of bursts to the receiver along an associated communication line. The receiver may receive certain bursts with an error, and properly received bursts may not follow the sequence. In one version the receiver may store the highest sequence number of properly received bursts for each communication line. After detection of at least one absent burst the receiver may send data to the transmitter on a status, communicating the absent burst (bursts) and highest sequence numbers for all communication lines. The transmitter may use highest sequence numbers for all communication lines and the ratio "burst-communication line" to identify, whether it is required to send repeatedly each absent burst or wait.
EFFECT: efficient data transfer along multiple communication lines.
