Data burst transfer system uses radio communication line (RCL) control transfer between transmitter and receiver with management of automatic repetition request (ARQ) to allow receiver polling is executed with decreased volume of transferred data redundancy, for example, between node and access terminal. After polling event, for example, transmitter transmission buffer clearing, lapse of polling time or threshold of radio communication line data protocol module (PDU) count, transmitter sends polling command to receiver. Said polling command is smaller than every PDU RLC thanks to repeated segmentation to variable-size PDU that transmits decreased volume of data. With development of communication standards oriented to PDU upsizing, for example, over kb for HSPA+ (Evolution of High-speed Batch Access) and 3GPP LTE (in long-term), said inefficiency can bring about increasing influence.

EFFECT: reduced repeated PDU transfer.
